NoKTuRNL

NoKTuRNL have released their first long player Time Flies. NoKTuRNL have fulfilled all the promise of their earlier releases NoKTuRNL, Neva Mend, Unveiled and Haterz to make Time Flies an outstanding album that resonates with the times and sets NoKTuRNL apart from their contemporaries.

On Time Flies, NoKTuRNL combine pop sensibilities and true lyrical substance with metal and progressive rock guitar ideas. NoKTuRNL layer textures and harmonies with big riffs to make Time Flies an album to please NoKTuRNL fans and hard rock aficionados as much as fans of the thoughtful singer songwriter. Time Flies changes mood from heavy and aggressive to atmospheric to uplifting and anthemic, but NoKTuRNL don't write silly love songs. Time Flies exhorts the individual to take responsibility for life and happiness, not to be helpless victims of circumstance.

On the title track, NoKTuRNL celebrate the ongoing human triumph of moving forward into an unknown future. On Woomera, already released as a radio taster, NoKTuRNL observe the modern world and human condition from a distance. With Sail Away, NoKTuRNL surprise long term fans with an infectious and repetitive chorus, reminding us of the perils of being influenced by others. Reason to Live is an anthem that is a NoKTuRNL band favourite, while Human might best sum up what NoKTuRNL are about.

NoKTuRNL signed with Festival Mushroom Records in December 1999. The first NoKTuRNL FMR release Neva Mend received an ARIA nomination, and many NoKTuRNL songs have been featured on compilations and movie soundtracks. NoKTuRNL have a fearsome live reputation, and are touring nationally in support of Time Flies.
